The Center for Visual Artists and Casa Azul of Greensboro are proud to announce their collaboration: Bridging Cultures Through Art. Throughout May and June, we will be showcasing the work of Latino artist from our community.

Join us on June 13 for a special family night event and partnership with the Creative Aging Network. Enjoy live Latin music by Oscar's Latin band, artist exhibitions, and fun art activities for kids. Mark your calendars!

CVA and Casa Azul will also be featuring four free workshops lead by featured artist. Registration for each workshop will open approximately two weeks before its scheduled date. Our first workshop will be Saturday, May 10, 2-5 pm in the CVA Pottery Studio. See the flyer for registration below.

Dive into color in this vibrant Pottery workshop. You will decorate on stoneware ceramic using underglaze painting techniques. Inspired by the bold, beautiful Talavera style of Mexico, the class offers guidance on how to layer and blend underglazes to create rich colors and crisp lines. You will complete your tile ready for kiln firing - perfect as trivets decor or handmade gifts.
