This September, immerse yourself in the spirit of tradition, storytelling, and cultural expression with Envisioning Folk: Art Inspired by Heritage, a dynamic new exhibition celebrating the enduring power of folk art. The show opens with a public reception on Friday, September 5, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, and will be on view throughout the weekend as part of the NC Annual Folk Festival. 

This special exhibition offers festival goers the opportunity to explore how contemporary artists interpret and preserve folk traditions through their creative practices. Whether honoring ancestral techniques or reimagining folkloric motifs with modern flair, these artists create works that resonate with memory, identity, and a deep sense of heritage.
