We're your community arts connection.

At the CVA gallery, we work hard to provide opportunities for local artists in 4 primary ways.

1. We curate and exhibit inclusive and engaging art exhibits featuring our area's local artists.

2. We solicit work from across the Southeast for periodic exhibitions intended to educate, inspire, and expose our community to facets of the art world in new ways.

3. We save room in our yearly exhibition calendar for exhibits proposed by our visual artists and other creatives who may have dynamic, important work to show or amazing ideas for collaborations.

4. We give additional opportunity for our CVA Members to participate in Exclusive Member Exhibitions & be represented in our Gallery Gift Shop.

We try to share as many opportunities as possible as widely as possible so that our community's artists have the chance to represent themselves in exhibitions both locally and nationally.



IMPORTANT DATES

Show Dates November 21-Decemebr 21, 2024 

November 30 – Shop Local Saturday 10am-5pm 

December 6 – Downtown GSO First Friday 6-9pm 

December 13 - CVA Holiday Party 6-8pm 


You must be accepted to join the Holiday Invitational.

Artist applications need to be completed by Wednesday Oct 2.

If you are not a CVA Artist Member please submit a $15.00 (+tax) nonrefundable application fee starting Sept 11, 2024.

1. All artworks must be original and created by the applying artist.

2. Fill out and submit the online application.

3. Please upload at least 5 images of your artworks.If you have varied goods, please make sure to show all types of items you intend to sell.

4. All artists will receive 60% commission and CVA will retain 40% of the retail price.

5. $15 (+tax) Registration Fee due when application is received. Artist is not accepted until payment is made in full. Members application fee is waived.

6. CVA reserves the right to contact you by phone if we have any questions.

Requirements for show if accepted:


Accepting offers will go out September 9 - October 4, 2024 

  1. At least 15 pieces of Artwork need to be available for sale for each booth. If you sell out, we will not replenish artworks.
  2. Provide an Artist Statement or Biography: Artist bio connects the impact your life history and your artwork. Explain about your concepts, philosophies, inspirations, or influences (where you are from, favorite medium, training, past exhibitions and art alliances) Feel free to describe your work or artistic process that connects you to the buyer. 
  3. Artist Release Statement and Contract: Artist must sign contract for exhibition and release permission to the CVA to use any information or images in promotional materials. 
  4. Supply CVA with Inventory List of artworks by November 12, 2024. (Title, Artist, Media and Price.)
  5. *Each artist is responsible for Setup of their Artwork. A Sign-Up Genius will go out to all participating artists to manage the delivery and set-up schedules. Please sign up for the date that best suits your schedule. We will have CVA staff available to help with any set-up needs.  
  6. Please provide your own display materials or easels for work. All artworks should be ready to hang – the CVA will not provide hanging materials. We will provide nails and tools for installation. Please indicate if you need electrical power.
  7. Artists Payment for all artworks sold will be distributed at the end of the Holiday Invitational.
