Church St. and Davie St. parking decks are the closest to the Cultural Center, and both charge $1 per hour until 7 pm. There also are metered spots along Friendly Ave. and Davie St., both of which run next to the Cultural Center. Street parking is free after 5pm.

A narrow wheelchair-accessible ramp leads into the front of the building off of Davie St. You can also access the building from the "back" by the Church St. parking deck.

Getting to the CVA Gallery

The CVA gallery is located on the 2nd floor of the Greensboro Cultural Center.

If entering from the front (by Davie St.):

There is a narrow wheelchair-accessible ramp to enter the front of the building. There is a push button outside the doors to automatically open the front door, but sometimes it is broken. For assistance, please call Cultural Center Security at 336-253-5965. The CVA gallery is to the left, past the elevators. You can ask Security or the Front Desk for assistance.

If entering from the back (by the Church St. Parking Deck):

If parking in the deck, there is a paved path leading to the back doors of the Cultural Center. There is one set of (heavy) push doors in the parking deck that you have to go through. There is a push button to automatically open one set of the doors to the Cultural Center, but sometimes it is broken. (Use security number above to call for assistance). To get to the CVA gallery, you can take the stairs up to the second floor OR use the elevators. The elevators are located to your right by the restrooms. Press 2 for the 2nd floor. The Gallery is to your left as you exit the elevators. If coming up the stairs, the Gallery will be diagonally to your right.

Inside the Gallery Space:

The CVA Gallery can be accessed by wheelchair. There is a set of double doors you go through to get into the gallery space and one of them is always propped open when the gallery is open. The gallery does not have any stairs or inclines and we make sure to leave 36" of space around art objects if they are in the middle of the space.

If you are blind or low-vision you can request to touch the art and we may be able to find some pieces that would be appropriate to handle.

There is a couch and a couple of chairs available for sitting and relaxing.
