after-school + GCS holidays

Parents and caregivers need help, and kids will have more fun with us!

Students in grades K-5 love our Art in the Afternoon after-school art-based childcare program, and the same energy abounds at our spring break and teacher in-service day sessions. If you're a working parent (or your child just loves the arts!), we will fill your child's day with creativity and fun. Check the calendar listings below for more details about our after-school program and sessions we're planning for spring break and other Guilford County Schools holidays/teacher in-service days. For more information or to ask any questions, please EMAIL US or call us at (336) 333-7475.

Looking for something different for your child to do over spring break this year? Do they really need to get out of the house? Come join us at CVA for a week filled with awesome art activities with our very own Alexis Michelle!  Our theme this year is All Things Spring, and Ms. Alexis has some fantastic, creative, and fun projects planned for grades  K through 6.  Students will explore different artistic styles and media throughout the week.

--Camp runs for 4 days, as the building is closed on Good Friday.

    --Fee includes all materials.

    --Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

--Students should bring a lunch, snack, and water bottle.

--Masks are required in the building at all times.  Students will be allowed mask breaks outside for short periods as long as proper social distancing is maintained.

--Class size is very small for social distancing reasons, so space is limited.  Register now to reserve your spot!

We plan to offer our art-based after-school program again beginning in the fall of 2021.  Register below to receive more details as they are available.

In the past, we have offered art classes and supervision Monday through Friday from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. throughout the GCS school year.  We are on the bus route for several of the schools, and we are seeking other transportation options for this fall.  Payments are made monthly, and sibling discounts are offered.  Students have the opportunity to learn about art history, crafting, and various artistic media techniques all while having fun in a caring, safe environment.  If you have questions, please email create@greensboroart.org.
