Clay: Playing with Clay (1st-3rd Grades)

Campers will learn basic handbuilding techniques such as pinch pottery, slab building, coil building, and score & slip. They’ll practice those skills making functional objects as well as decorative, sculptural forms. In the past, fun, imaginative projects completed have included gnome cottages, ceramic foods, cups, bowls, and a wide array of animals. Our instructor will guide students from the beginning of the design process through the finished glazed products.
