Professional artist  development workshops + programs

Come as you art.

Our education and exhibition team is organizing a series of workshops and programs that help emerging artists of all ages and stages of development build on their strengths. If you're a local artist and you know you need help and advice about making, promoting, and exhibiting your artwork, get in touch!

Stay tuned: We'll keep you posted on what we've got cooking.

The CVA can only offer unpaid internships at this time, but if you're ready to beef up your resume or gain some practical real-world art gallery skills, we write a heck of a recommendation letter if you serve us well!  If making money for your time is essential, many college students can speak with their school's work-study program to see if they qualify for a work-study position at The CVA.  As of early 2021, internships can be remote or in-person based on the intern's preference.

As an intern with CVA, you will work with staff to develop a program that speaks to your skills and interests while giving you the chance to learn new skills and familiarize yourself with the inner workings of a community-based art non-profit. A few ways interns have helped us and gained experience include:

  • Learned how to hang an exhibition and what all goes into putting on a show to the public.
  • Built relationships with artists and the art community
  • Dreamed up creative programming to engage the community in the arts
  • Promoted CVA's events and offerings on social media

To intern at The CVA Gallery, please send a letter of interest with a current CV/resume to gallery@mycvagreensboro.org
