OPEN CALL FOR GROUP EXHIBITIONS

Goodyear Arts is currently seeking proposals for group shows to be exhibited in our gallery between July 23 and October 1, 2021. We are looking for exhibitions with fresh ideas, cohesive concepts, and a curatorial voice that reflects contemporary practices. 

• Proposals may be submitted by a curator and/or a participating artist. 

• Proposals must include a minimum of three artists. There is no maximum number of artists. 

• We welcome submissions from emerging artists and visual artists of all disciplines. Multidisciplinary/performance-based components will also be considered. 

• Priority may be given to proposals that present artists whose work has not been recently shown at Goodyear Arts.

• Goodyear Arts will provide one curatorial stipend of $500 for each selected proposal. 

• Selected proposals will receive a four-week (minimum) exhibition at Goodyear Arts with opportunities to develop supplementary programming during Friday open hours. 

• Our team will assist in the execution of your proposal, but applicants should be prepared to receive, install, de-install, and handle the pick-up of artwork.

Goodyear Arts is a raw, artist-run space. Our gallery is a 6,000 square foot warehouse with 20-foot ceilings, with both drywall and brick walls, and is not air-conditioned or climate-controlled; please familiarize yourself with our gallery space prior to submitting a proposal. 

TO SUBMIT, compile the following information in a single PDF document and send via email to goodyearartsclt@gmail.com: 

• Exhibition proposal and statement (1-page): Detailed exhibition proposal that outlines both the concept and plan for the exhibition and the relationship of the work samples to your proposal

• List of participating artists with links to websites and/or Instagram

• Images: up to 10 captioned images
