This exhibition will showcase art made in the classroom, from CVA’s Art in the Afternoon program to the Print Shop to the Ceramics Studio. We are also opening up the gallery for submissions from artists who have created art in public school (elementary, middle and high school), colleges and universities, and public art classes offered throughout Guilford County!

Work must have been created in a classroom setting within the past two years. We will accept all forms of fine art ranging from painting, prints, ceramics, pottery, works on paper, drawings, collage, and even small sculptures.

CVA wants to highlight these classes and ask that the program administrators submit an 8 ½ x 11 or 11 x 17 sheet describing the programs and classes available and how to sign up with its student submissions. The flyer will be displayed next to the student’s art piece.

Registration information:

· Individual Artists may submit up to two (2) pieces of artwork for consideration.

· No more than ten (10) total pieces from each program will be accepted

· There is a $5.00 fee for each work displayed in the show for non-CVA members.

· Framed artwork must be ready to be hung or displayed when dropped off.

· Unframed paper works will be pinned to a yarn or string line.

· All artwork must be labelled with artist name and title of work.

· The registration deadline is March 11, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.

Prior to drop off you will be asked to submit:

o An 8 ½ x 11 or 11 x 17 “flyer” with information about the organization and/or class in which the artwork was created. Links and QR codes for more information are encouraged.

o Title, medium, dimensions, and year of creation for each piece.
