Create Handmade Holiday Magic with CVA!
Celebrate the season with a joyful afternoon of creativity in our Winter Holiday Ornament Pottery Workshop, led by local artist Lola Henderson. In this festive, beginner-friendly class, you'll design and sculpt your own ceramic holiday gnomes and snowmen, using carving, texturing, and decorating techniques to bring each whimsical character to life.
This is a great workshop for artists of any age or experience level—whether you're a seasoned maker or just looking to try something new. All materials are provided, and your finished creations will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup approximately two weeks after the event.

About the instructor:
Lola Henderson is a retired educator who spent her career teaching exceptional children in Guilford County. After retiring, she continued supporting young learners through reading tutoring at a local school. Her journey with clay began in 1991 at the Center for Visual Arts, sparking a passion that has grown ever since. For Lola, pottery is a source of continual learning, creative expression, and pure joy. She finds deep fulfillment in sharing the craft with others and creating space for exploration, growth, and connection through clay.
