Our North Carolina artists and community are invited to experience a captivating showcase of larger-than-life artworks that promise to transform the way we engage with visual art. Opening on Friday August 7th 2026, Scaled Up brings together an array of oversized works—each measuring greater than 36x48 inches creating an immersive, awe-inspiring experience for the community.
The Call for Art requests a diverse range of artists and media: paintings, photographs, sculpture, mixed-media works or fiber arts, all emphasizing scale and spectacle. The exhibition invites attendees to not only view the artwork, but to be enveloped in it, as each piece challenges the conventional boundaries of space and perception.
Scaled Up aims to elevate the visual experience, pushing both the physical and conceptual limits of art on our walls. From abstract expressions to vibrant figurative representations, the artworks on display embody the power of scale as a form of storytelling, drawing viewers into powerful narratives and breathtaking compositions.
The exhibition will open with a free public reception on Friday, August 7 from 6:00–9:00 PM, inviting the community to engage with our artists, immerse themselves in the magnitude of scale and share the love for your favorite local non-profit gallery.
The exhibition will be available to the public until Saturday, September 20, 2026.
