Artventure Day: New Year, New Beginnings

Start the new year with a day of creativity, imagination, and artistic exploration at CVA!

Students in Kindergarten through 8th grade will spend the day creating artwork inspired by themes of new beginnings, goals, growth, and possibilities. Through a variety of mixed media projects, students will reflect on the year ahead while expressing their ideas through art, storytelling, and creative play.

Throughout the day, students will follow a structured schedule that includes:

Welcome activities and creative warm-ups
Guided art projects inspired by hopes, goals, and fresh starts
Snack and movement breaks
Art-making, games, and collaborative activities
Lunch and outdoor recess in downtown Greensboro parks (weather permitting)
Additional art projects and creative exploration in the afternoon

Using a variety of materials and techniques, students will create meaningful artwork while building confidence, making new friends, and celebrating the possibilities of a new year.

Open to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade
All art supplies included
Please bring a lunch, snack, and water bottle
Outdoor activities are weather permitting
