Open Figure Drawing Studio with Joel Gainey
Join artist Joel Gainey for a weekly open figure drawing studio designed for artists and aspiring artists who want to strengthen their observation and drawing skills through regular practice.
This is not an instructional class. There will be no formal teaching, demonstrations, or guided lessons. Instead, participants will work independently alongside other artists in a supportive and welcoming group environment.
Each session features a live nude model who will pose for a variety of timed gestures and longer poses. Pose lengths and session structure may be adjusted based on group consensus and experience levels.
Whether you're picking up a sketchbook for the first time or are an experienced artist looking to maintain a consistent practice, all skill levels are welcome.

- Any personal supplies needed for your practice
Important Information
- This is a figure drawing studio session, not an instructional class.
- Participants should be comfortable working from a live nude model.
- Ages 18 and older only. No children or minors may attend.
- Respectful and professional conduct is expected at all times.
