At the start of 2020, we opened up three of our spaces in the Greensboro Cultural Center to three local artists so they could pursue projects and develop their craft. Each of these residencies were cut short by the onset of COVID-19 in March 2020.
Karena Graves, aka Kidd @kiddkreates
Kidd is
a sculptor and collage artist from Greensboro, NC. They recently
graduated from UNCG - The University of North Carolina at Greensboro
with a BFA in Sculpture and Ceramics. Their work consists of many
materials that are found and repurposed in both their sculpture and
collages. They also create functional and sculptural objects in ceramic.
Their work at times covers topics including, race, gender, sexual
orientation, and memory or dreams. |

Bobby Craddock Multimedia artist Bobby Craddock took over CVA's fiber studio to create a workshop for Scarves 4 Warmth, a service project he created to support Greensboro's houseless community. |
