Eligibility and Media

• All artists age 18 and older who reside in the United States are eligible to enter.
  
• All lens-based media and styles will be considered.
  
• Photography work should all be monochromatic; video work is encouraged to explore ideas through monochromatic imagery, but not required.
  
• All work must be ready to hang, view, or display.
  
• No reproductions will be accepted. 
  
• All works must have been completed from January 2019 to present and have not previously shown in the CVA Gallery.

August 16, 2021: Deadline for delivery of artwork          

August 31 – October 23, 2021: Exhibition dates

September 3, 2021: opening reception, 6-9 p.m.

November 1 - November 7, 2021: Pick up or shipping of artwork

Entry Fee and Procedure

$25 to submit up to three unique artworks. Additional works may be submitted for consideration (up to a maximum of three additional works) for $5 each. No artist may submit more than 6 total works.

August 6, 2021 is the submission deadline.

• Each artwork can be represented by one full image and up to 3 detail images, approximately 300 dpi, jpgs preferred.

• Video work should be submitted via a Youtube or Vimeo link. If submitting video work of considerable length, please provide an excerpt of no more than 2 minutes long. Submissions that do not follow this guideline will not be considered.

• Image files should be labeled: artistname_artwork title.jpg

• A text file (Microsoft Word preferred) must be uploaded, including a thumbnail image of each artwork with the following information:artist name, artwork title, date of creation, media, dimensions, and value.

• An artist and/or artwork statement up to 250 words should be included.
  

• Artist website or social media should be included.
  

Applications will be reviewed after July 25, 2021. Final notification emails will be sent on or before August 1, 2021.  However, please be aware that delays are always possible with the jurying process.
